Preliminary results from a survey of health care facilities conducted by SNV in 16 cities across 5 countries (Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Tanzania and Zambia). 366 facilities were surveyed in total.

The document provides guidance on solid and liquid hazardous and non-hazardous health care waste as well as gaseous emissions along the complete logistic chain: procurement, generation, segregation, collection, storage, transport, treatment and disposal.

The CCA aims to increase access to WASH services whilst improving adherence to best practices at the community and health facility level to reduce the risk of healthcare associated infections (HAI). The MOH and MCSP worked together to improve the quality of health services and outcomes in two provincial health divisions (DPS) of north-western DRC: Bas-Uélé and Tshopo.
